Which length do I need?

Count the eyelets (or eyelets plus speed hooks) on one side of your boot; this pair fits 5 - 9 eyelets. Between two sizes? Go longer: extra length can be wrapped or tied off, and short laces can't be fixed.

Care

Wipe off dirt with a damp cloth and let them dry.
New waxed laces can shed a little wax at first. It settles down after a few wears.
Waxed cotton laces have finished tips and can't be cut shorter.

I purchase these laces in two different colors to replace laces from my Alden straight-tip cordovan boot. With regard to this color, there was virtually no wax on these laces and caused me to recheck my order to see if I made a mistake. Extremely disappointing. On the positive side, the length/size is virtually identical to the original Alden laces. I also say that at least the other set I ordered was well waxed.
