While Shell Cordovan or Exotic Leathers may be a bit more "exciting" leathers, my standard stock will still give you plenty of unique and quality leathers to choose from. On top of the many Horween options, I also offer leather from another U.S. tannery - Wickett & Craig. While not all the options below will show up on my website, they are always available as options. Please contact me to discuss what you are interested in.

One of the main leathers I utilize is Horween Chromexcel Horsehide which is a unique leather due to its "pull up" (the variation of color seen when flexing/pressing on the leather). Chromexcel is a combination tanned (chrome and vegetable) leather which is hot stuffed with oils, waxes and greases which give the leather its uniqueness. Chromexcel is a medium tempered leather which acquires a nice patina with continued use. Horsehide is preferred over cowhide as it is generally thinner and has a firmer temper.
